Budget Information

The Port of Vancouver has a transparent budgeting process. The following describes the public review and commission approval process:

  • October 1-2, 2009 - Staff reviewed the budgets that each department proposed for 2010, and reviewed the projected revenues and expenses against the port's goals and objectives for the coming year.
  • October 13, 2009 - Staff presented the preliminary 2010 budget to the Port Commission during its regular meeting, where the commission approved the first public review of the preliminary budget. That review was conducted during an open commission workshop involving staff immediately following the commission meeting.
  • November 10, 2009 - Public hearing on draft budget followed by a commission decision on the final budget (view at CVTV.org)
