Get To Know Your Port

Ever been curious about what goes on at the Port of Vancouver USA? Ever wonder how nearly 75,000 Subarus get from ship to land every year? If so, join us for a free port tour. We’re always excited to welcome guests to the port and show our neighbors around.

Guests enjoy a light meal and a slide presentation before boarding a bus for a behind-the-scenes tour of the marine terminals and industrial centers that make the Port of Vancouver a major economic engine in Southwest Washington.

You’ll hear about the port’s history, learn what makes a marine terminal tick and find out how over 7 million metric tons of cargo moves in and out of the port every year. You might even catch a glimpse of giant steel slabs, trains filled with grain and other imports and exports on the move.

Port tours are open to the public by reservation and run in spring and summer. Anyone who wants to learn about how our river system works, how trains and ships move cargo and hear more about our industrial tenants should sign up. To get on our mailing list for early notification of the schedule email your contact information to rsvp@portvanusa.com.
