The liquid bulk dock is owned by the Port, and operated by Valero
LP, Inc. and Tesoro Refining and Marketing Company. It has three
pipelines from the dock to several storage tank farms, with a total
capacity of over three million barrels.
Valero LP expanded their facilities at the Port by five acres,
adding additional storage tanks to handle another 350,000 barrels
of liquid bulk storage.
Tesoro Refining and Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Tesoro Petroleum
Corporation, markets and distributes refined petroleum products
and provides marine logistics services. Tesoro Petroleum is the
second largest independent refining company in the western United
States with a throughput capacity of about 275,000 barrels per day.
The company also has a network of marine terminals in Alaska, Hawaii
and the Pacific Northwest, and the Vancouver location has rack sales
and tank storage, handling almost 2 million barrels of primarily
unleaded gasoline, 87 and 92 Octane, ethanol and low and high sulfur
diesel.
