Business Specialty: Transport of food grade products such as flour, corn starch, salt and corn oil throughout the Pacific Northwest. When Food Express, Inc. was established in 1983 by Walter, Joanna, and Kevin Keeney, the company focused primarily on transporting bulk corn starch from Stockton, Calif. to the Pacific Northwest. On return trips, trucks carried bakery flour. Today, the list of food grade commodities transported by the company has grown considerably and includes other such staples as sugar, salt and corn oil.

Headquartered in Arcadia, California, Food Express, Inc. operates four terminals, one of which is located at the Port of Vancouver. Calling the port home for the past 22 years, the company’s administration and dispatch center is located at 2901 NW Lower River Road. Food Express, Inc. trucks hauling food grade pneumatic trailers are dispatched to rail yards and customer locations within a service area that stretches from California to British Columbia. Food Express, Inc. handles both bulk and bagged product. Drivers are well trained, and trucks are outfitted with state-ofthe-art equipment such as satellite communications systems, electronic logging capability, and specially designed pollution control mechanisms.
