PORT OF VANCOUVER, USA WELCOMES
M/V ARNEBORG ON HER MAIDEN VOYAGE

January 9, 2007 -- Port of Vancouver, USA welcomed
the M/V Arneborg, captained by Jacob J. Potze from The Netherlands,
on her maiden voyage to Vancouver, Washington, on January 2, 2007.
The M/V Arneborg is owned by Wagenborg Shipping of The Netherlands,
operated by BBC Chartering, and represented locally by General Steamship
Corporation of Portland, Oregon.
Ray Gebauer, Operations Vessel Manager for General
Steamship; John Hartman II, Port Captain for Port Technical Services,
Inc.; Kevin Mitchell, Operations Manager for Transera International
Logistics Ltd., and Mike Schiller, Operations Manager for Port of
Vancouver, welcomed Capt. Potze and his 14-member crew to Vancouver.
Port of Vancouver was only the second port call for the M/V Arneborg,
launched in November 2006 from China. It was also Capt. Potze’s
first visit to the U.S. west coast.
A general cargo vessel, the M/V Arneborg is
142.9 meters in length, has a total 17,338 deadweight tons, two
holds/hatches and three 60-long-ton Liebherr cranes.
The M/V Arneborg discharged 60 wind turbine
tower sections from Vietnam at Port of Vancouver’s Terminal
3, stevedored by Jones Stevedoring. After leaving the Port of Vancouver,
the vessel will sail back to China before proceeding on to Europe.
