  • To construct a state-of-the-art Unit Train Facility, the Port of Vancouver's West Vancouver Freight Access (WVFA) Rail Project will provide added capacity to existing port tenants and customers reliant on the continuation of quality, efficient cost competitive and reliable rail service.

  • Solicit input from stakeholders on the design and service requirements for rail system improvements.

  • Minimize impacts and service interruptions for stakeholders and tenants in the scheduling and implementation of work for the rail project.

  • Provide comprehensive and timely project updates and communications on the rail project that are accessible to stakeholders and the community at large.

  • Develop a strategic and sustainable dual carrier rail service network that maximizes efficiencies and meets the needs and volumes projected for port expansion west toward Columbia Gateway.
