NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing at 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, to consider comments and to consider Resolution 2-2022 to establish the tax increment financing area for the public improvements in Terminal 1 as part of its Regular Meeting. Generally, the tax increment area (TIA) is bordered by the Columbia River to the south, Esther Street to the west, the railroad berm to the north, and Columbia Street to the east. The southern boundary extends far enough into the Columbia River to include sufficient area for the dock replacement project, without extending into the primary navigation channel. The boundary includes 17.3 total acres, including 13.7 acres of land and 3.7 acres of water. The public improvements include Terminal 1 Dock Replacement, Ground stabilization and Pile Extraction of Renaissance Trail: Part 2, Landscaping of the dock, Daniels Way Part 2, Renaissance Trail Part 2, East Portal and East Portal Public Restroom.

Documents may be inspected from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the port’s offices located at 3103 NW Lower River Road, Vancouver.

Public comments are welcome during the meeting either in person or by registering in advance via email to no later than 12 noon on Monday, May 23, 2022. Registered individuals will have three minutes to read their comments into the record and will be called in the order in which the port receives their request. No public comments will be read into the record by the port. Written comments not intended to be read by the community member and received by 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, will become part of the official hearing record and will be provided to the Commission.
