/ Berth 8/9 Extension and Efficiency Improvements Project
The Port of Vancouver’s Berth 8/9 Expansion and Efficiency Improvement Project will make significant enhancements to a 45-year-old dock to increase efficiency, reliability and safety of the movement of goods along the Columbia River. Project construction includes the addition of a 250 lineal foot extension, installation of a mooring dolphin, crane pad support cribbing and installation of the dock apron behind berth 9. Safety improvements include updated lighting, safety ladders and lifebuoys at the dock and a handrail around the berth 9 apron. Environmental and energy improvements include LED lighting, installation of an EV charging station and electric conduit for shore power planning, and enhancements to stormwater management.
