The Port of Vancouver USA’s April 15 lecture and April 25 public tour have been postponed as a precautionary measure in response to COVID-19. Port leadership will monitor recommendations by health care professionals in the coming weeks, and will decide whether or not to postpone additional tours and lectures.
HOLIDAY CLOSURE – CESAR CHAVEZ’S BIRTHDAY – March 31 – The Port of Vancouver USA will be closed for receipt and delivery of cargo on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in observance of Cesar Chavez’s Birthday. This day is considered a longshore holiday in accordance with applicable ILWU/PMA labor agreements, and overtime rates will apply. Vessel activity will not be interrupted.
The port has established a new community fund program to support projects and programs that align with the port’s focus on trade promotion, tourism generation, economic development and workforce development.
The port has budgeted $5,000 for the inaugural year of the program. Through a competitive application process, the port awarded funds to three projects that meet program goals and are located within the port district boundaries.
