VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will meet to discuss the port’s 2016 budget at a workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 28.

The workshop, which will begin immediately following the Board of Commissioners meeting, will be held at the port administrative office, 3103 Northwest Lower River Road. The meeting is open to the public.

During the workshop, port staff will walk commissioners Brian Wolfe, Nancy Baker and Jerry Oliver through the 2016 preliminary budget and answer their questions before the commissioners consider adoption of the preliminary budget at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Public input on the port’s preliminary 2016 budget is welcome at the Nov. 10 commission meeting. Open forum for the Nov. 10 commission meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Commission Room in the port’s administrative office.

Adoption of the preliminary budget is the first formal step in the public process of establishing the final 2016 Port of Vancouver budget, which will be voted on by the three-member commission before the end of the year.

Regularly scheduled Board of Commissioner meetings are televised live on CVTV (Cable Channel 21) beginning at 9:30 a.m. and streamed live on www.cvtv.org. Meetings are archived within 24 hours on the same website for future viewing.
