VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Port of Vancouver USA is hosting eight public tours in 2016 – two more than in 2015 – due to the popularity of these informative excursions.

“Every tour in 2015 had a waiting list, and not everyone who wanted to see the port was able to,” said port Chief External Affairs Officer Ryan Hart. “We’ve added additional tours in May and July so we have more seats for folks who want to see firsthand the people, products and activities that make the port such an important part of our community.”

The Port of Vancouver’s free public tours showcase many of the industries that call the port home and provide a taste of the maritime industry and global marketplace. Tour guests may see massive ships berthed along the waterfront as well as some of the diverse cargoes handled on our docks, including steel, grain, minerals and automobiles.
