mk_thumb.phpAlthough most of us weren’t alive to witness it, a petition was sent to Clark County commissioners requesting that a port district be formed on February 7, 1912. A special election was held on April 6 of that year, establishing the Port of Vancouver with a vote of 631 in favor and 179 in opposition.

Sunday marks the 102nd birthday of the Port of Vancouver USA, and we’d like to thank our community for its ongoing support as we work to provide economic benefit through leadership, stewardship and partnership. Your public port has been here for more than 100 years, and we look forward to being a regional economic engine for centuries to come. Thank you for taking this journey with us.
